We were sent the link to this video clip and thought we would repost it. A group of divers are watching Manta Rays at night when a dolphin joins them. The divers notice that the dolphin is snagged in fishing line. It then comes alongside one of the divers who spends some time cutting it free. How did the dolphin know that the divers would have helped.

Whale Bags are a real hit at the Giving and Living Show
We spent 4 days in Exeter at the Giving and Living show and the new range of bags went down REALLY well. We had the Blue, Minke and a prototype of the Humpback bags on show and orders came in from around the country and further afield. So far away, in fact, that should you be on an Antarctic cruise during the summer and you happen to stop in at South Georgia, you will be able to buy a bag! Can't wait to see a picture of a penguin carrying a whale bag.
The stand looked great with all the new colours - watch this space for even more new products in the very near future.

The Scuba Diving Industry - doing their bit
Scuba divers have a vested interest in ensuring that our oceans are healthy, and that is particularly the case of those people involved in the industry. So it was really encouraging recently at the Scuba Industry Trade Association shown Leamington Spa, when 9 more dive centres around the country became dealers of Whalebags - that makes 12 dive shops around the country altogether! So why not pop along to your local dive centre and get a whale bag - hey you could even enrol on a scuba diving course at the same time. Locations are Stoney Cove (Leicester), Frogs Born (Hawarden), Dive Zone - (Melksham), Aquasport International (Solihull), 4th Element Diving (Stockton on Tees), Divestyle (Arborfield), Anglesey Divers (Anglesey), Andark (Southampton), Christal Seas Scuba (Norwich), Triton Scuba (Portsmouth), Wavecrest Scuba (Newquay), Planet Scuba (Bishops Stortford). And for those of you who are British Sub-Aqua Club divers, you can now buy your whale bags from the BSAC shop.

Making a splash with Aquariums at NAW
The aquariums around the UK have an annual event (The National Aquarium Workshop - NAW) when they all get together and talk about ..... well aquarium things. David was invited along to talk about plastic pollution and we also put a stand up to promote whale bags. The good news is that whale bags can now be found in even more locations around the country and that can only be good news for those of us that want to reduce the number of plastic bags that we see dumped around.

Whale Fest 2012
The Whale Fest took place in Brighton at the end of October - a brilliant place to go for anything whatsoever to do with whales. So we thought that we had better go along as well. Assistant Chief Whale david was there for the weekend giving some presentations to the visitors about the issues of plastic pollution in our oceans and we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to put the stand up and sell a few Whalebags.
