David Jones joins the Whale Bags team

We are pleased to announce that we have recently been joined at Whale Bags by David Jones.  David spent several years in the Army before going into business.  He runs several successful training companies but more recently has turned his attentions to environmental issues.  He is involved in the Plastic Oceans charity and making underwater documentaries.

Wales Introduces a 5p Plastic Bag Tax

From the 1st October every retailer in Wales will be charging 5p for single use carrier bags.  This is a great move by the Welsh government and we at W(h)ales Bags are all for it!  Let's hope that it reduces the number of bags given out.  If people are made to pay, even a small amount, perhaps they will remember their reusable bags.  Our Chief Whale, Carolyn was on BBC Bristol radio discussing the issues of plastic bags and reminding people to remember their Whalebags.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! We are very excited about this year and we know we are not the only ones. Despite the general doom and gloom that the current economic climate is bringing we have decided to stay positive and continue to dream big.  Why? Because we believe in our product.  We have been working very hard to develop our new range of products; our storybook and children’s bag project is still in the pipeline but coming along well.  We wish you every happiness and success too.
